A part of the same shotgun lineup as the Hammerhead 4B produced by Apex Arms, the Mako Close Assault Weapons Group fires the standard 23x75mmR round first designed for the Soviet KS-23 all the way back in the late 1970s. The 23mm shell first rose to worldwide popularity during the 2060s as human augmentation became far more widespread. In the 2100s, as pulse ammunition became popular, the 23x75mmR cartridges were retrofitted with the technology to increase their lethality.
