The Cerebral Order is a committee that serves as Tavish Augmetitech’s advisory board. Unlike a board of directors, they are not beholden to the company’s shareholders; rather, they are elected by, and answer directly to, Leena Tuonen. They both handle Tavish’s day-to-day tasks and advise the founder in specific areas. There are always eight members at a time, each color coded to suit their unique discipline. Another commonality in each member’s appearance is that they all have clear braincases.

Artyom Tabachkov
Acting as the Director of Operations and Logistics, Artyom Tabachkov has served in his role longest out of all members of the Order. He started with the company shortly after its founding in 2046, using his previous experience with the Russian space program and private space companies to great effect. Born in the early 1980s, he had a brief glimpse of what it meant to live under the Iron Curtain. His family was deeply entrenched in the Soviet space program, his father having a hand in the design of the famous spaceplane Buran, the competitor to the Americans’ Space Shuttle. He has overseen Tavish’s logistics throughout wars, recessions, and the transition from intercontinental supply chains to interstellar distribution. He has forgotten much of it. But he remembers Buran.
Silas Coyle
Silas Coyle has served Tavish Augmetitech for over five hundred years. He first served as external counsel in 2134, successfully defending the corporation in Tavish Augmetitech v. Kowalski et al. In this case, centered around the first-generation neural laces produced by Tavish Augmetitech, he argued that negative side effects caused by these products such as psychosis were not the result of Tavish’s product; but rather unexpected changes to neural architecture. Using a neural lace extracted from one of the plaintiffs as evidence, he stated that the electrodes remained within 100 microns of their original placement, showing the fault was no failure of the product, it had in fact remained in near-perfect condition. Unexpectedly, the jury sided with Tavish. Rather than let Silas go, Leena herself chose to retain his services- she would not let such a useful asset go to waste. He became the Director of Human Resources and Legal Affairs in 2138, now handling all conflicts on the company’s terms, whether internal or external.
Vivienne Vasquez
Starting in the restructuring division of the finance department in 2242, Vivienne learned quickly that a customer that owes you is worth far more than one who doesn’t. She worked with those whose accounts were underwater, negotiating terms which kept them in the ecosystem even when they couldn’t pay. That experience helped her as she ascended the ranks within Tavish, leading her to create a unique financing structure which impressed Leena so much that she promoted Vivienne to Director of Sales and Finance. That structure was “Perpetuity”- a contract unique to Tavish Augmetitech where for a monthly fee, entire families could be fitted with implants. This structure was seemingly perfect, both for Leena’s goals of complete global saturation, and to keep the bean counters downstairs happy.
Elke Werner
Graduating from a Tavish-sponsored technical college in 2315, she was the final member of the current Order to join before the company’s expedition to Thanatos IV. Over the course of the expedition, she developed sweeping improvements to the company’s augmentations to prepare for the unique conditions of Thanatos. One of these was the creation of a new form of oxidant fluid; superHelilox. Inspired by exotic saturation diving mixtures, this fluid- a supercooled mixture of helium and oxygen- both kept mechanical components cool, and organic components oxygenated even in insanely high-pressure environments. Because of her contributions, both to the expedition and to the company, Leena awarded her with a position as the Director of Engineering.
Soo-min Tsoi
Soo-min Tsoi was one of the first to be born on Thanatos IV- to two employees of Steelehead Excavation, a Russian and a Korean, two countries deeply tied to Steelehead’s influence. They acted as coastal security in the early days of the colony; anti piracy, smuggling interdiction, learning every system has holes and that anyone can become a liability. Later on, Soo-min transferred from Steelehead’s security to the TASDF, their seniority within Steelehead giving them opportunities to advance through Tavish’s ranks. Their previous experience at the intersection of logistics and security made them uniquely suited to be hand picked as the Director of Security. As the leader of the TASDF, they hold authority over all of its operations- including the SFGp and the many contingency plans it can execute.
Thomas Layne
Little is known about the man currently known as Thomas Layne. He’s suggested to have had contacts within the entertainment industry- talent agents, studio executives, actors. But no one outside the Cerebral Order and Leena herself quite knows exactly who he was before he took up this pseudonym.

Seamus Schafer
Serving as a director of Tavish Augmetitech’s black projects division, he oversaw all of Project DENPA and headed work on the Third Arm for 25 years. His work was cut short in 2657 by his brutal death at the hands of Jackson ‘Jack’ Jensen.
Meryl Teuthida
As the director of the Life Sciences division, she focused on biological study, determining improvements to the surgical procedures used in implanting Tavish’s products into their customers. She later defected to Manticorp, taking her experience and her internal knowledge and using it as a bargaining chip.
